Which is which??? AMD or Intel?
April 6, 2006
It’s a known fact that the world of processor is being ruled by two giants, the AMD and the Intel. According to Wikipedia, AMD or Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. is a manufacturer of integrated circuits based in Sunnyvale, California. It is the second-largest supplier of x86-compatible processors, and a leading supplier of non-volatile flash memory. Meanwhile, Intel or Intel Corporation, founded in 1968 as Integrated Electronics Corporation, is a U.S.-based multinational corporation that is best known for designing and manufacturing microprocessors and specialized integrated circuits. Intel also makes network cards, motherboard chipsets, components, and other devices. These two are the known competitors in the same field.
When one company develops new breed of processors, the other company also unleashes its counterpart or vice versa. Opting people to be confused on which processor would work best. Especially those who are not so techy would really choose the most advertised model. But for those who are IT enthusiasts would first research on what would suit their needs and wants before they opt to buy.
But which of these really works best? Maybe those people who have used these two could compare based on personal experiences. Or those who are informative and internet savvy can present articles and benchmarks about the two.
